Bandwagon Xanga Survey
Forgot who I got this from, but it's been sitting in my post list, so finished it off.
When did you join Xanga?
5/22/04, right after I had finished my graduate school classes
What brought you here?
My brothers, they pestered me until I got an account.Do you have other Xanga accounts?
I had a semi-secret Xanga but basically I was lame and no one cared, so it didn't survive its first season. What sorts of things do you post?
I talk about ideas and thoughts that bounce around in my head but that are difficult for me to talk about in a full conversation. Religion, Relationships and Ridiculousness, not necessarily in that order. How often do you post?
I am trying to only post twice a week.Do you keep yourself anonymous?
Sort of; I've gotten a lot pickier of late on who I let have my FB or phone #. I went through a phase where I tried to keep in touch with everyone, it got overwhelming. I don't like to talk about my job or real life on here too much.Have you met in person with anyone you originally met on Xanga?
http://greekphysique.xanga.com/albumHow many friends do you have on here?
Almost 1200...too many, haha. About 100 are active regularly, I think.Do you consider your friends here to be "real friends"?
Mostly not; I consider a true friend someone who would call regularly and stay in touch even if I wasn't posting.Have you ever dated anyone you met on Xanga?
Hmm...not quite, although I got close twice. I don't think I would want to anymore. A few too many surprises in the end, and it's easy to miscommunicate. But there are many great women on here that I'm proud to call my friends. What else are you just dying to say about Xanga?
Most people on Xanga are good and honest, but unfortunately there are a few liars and fakes. So make sure that you know how the Xangans closest to you treat other people. That shows how they will treat you too.

I always love reading these Xanga survey posts. I’m a fan of filled out profiles to read before adding a person or accepting a friend invite, so that’s only natural
I agree about the last point. If someone on my list generally behaves annoyingly with others on certain topics but is all sweet with me… they’re likely to start with jerk-behaviour the moment I disagree with them rather than keeping with the nice persona/personality while politely talking out the issue. Thanks for sharing this, J.!
@BloodIsLove - Yes! I love seeing people fill out their profiles. It get an automatic creep vibe when they don't.
surveys are endlessly entertaining; and especially interesting to read several years later.
aww, I'm not your true friend?
great answer to the last question.
You had a semi-secret Xanga that I did not know about?! How... secretive.
