  • Thanks. You always know how to encourage me. As for your old post on communication, it reminds me of what we are discussing in my English class (I know, bla bla bla, crazy English majors) but we are studying modern literature and one of the main themes is the failure of language. And ever since we started talking about it, I have been noticing it in my life and conversations as well. We do need to think more about the best way to say what we have to say rather than just spout out a lot of jumbled ideas or the first things that come to our minds. Good luck sharpening your communication skills!

  • Nice post. It is hard to stop using those meaningless words but you realize how much you use them until you are speaking in front of a group. Thanks for the comment on my page also. I was bored last night and thought I would get everything out. Have a great rest of the weekend!

  • RYC: Ha, no problem.  It just cracked me up so much when he said that!  As for adopting Carlos...hmmm, you might have better luck adopting a pet chicken ;)

  • I'll keep it in mind when I start teaching grammar next Fall. But I don't think open hands and sound bites will help in that department.

Earlier you had asked about Chrisitan radio for your mom....the church I've started attending puts their (German!) sermons online at berlinprojekt.com as mp3s. The young men who preach are young, but have a lot of good stuff to say. Both preacher dudes have connections to the PCA, if church affiliation means anything to the mom.
