  • Reprint: Bad Boys Series, #1

Years ago, I did a series on how to beat Bad Boys (and Girls) at their own game. It was hosted on another Xangan's site and done with him. He's graciously allowed me to reprint some of those entries here. The introduction is below.

You usually hear "Don't hate the Playa, Hate the Game" as the shoulders-shrugging excuse given by so-called "Bad Boys" who get all the hotties. The so-called Mr Nice Guy, who pines on the sidelines for a single phone call, starts blaming the Bad Boys for his bad luck. He claims "Sure, I'd have dates, if I'd buy alcohol for under-age girls or start disrespecting women." He says that the reason he doesn't get dates is because girls only like rich guys, or because girls don't want honesty anymore. Or maybe Miss Sweet Soul claims that she doesn't get any dates just because she won't show her boobies off like Miss McSlut. Is he/she right to hate the player? Is he/she right to hate the game?

We say yes, they are wrong to hate the game. The Game does exist, and it exists for a very good reason. We need to check out the other person's motives and style before we trust them with any part of us. So we play games until we can better determine whether to play for keeps. You may hate the game when you're losing, but trust me, everyone plays the game of love when they are winning.

We say there are plenty of ways to play the game without cheating and still be very clever. You don't have to be a Bad Boy to attract women.Instead, you should try to learn from his technique. If his techniques work, then there must be something legitimate about some of his actions and words. Which techniques of a Bad Boy can be used, dare I say improved on, by Mr or Miss Nice?

We're not Bad Boys ourselves, but we have been paying attention, and we're ready to give you a page or two from the Bad Boys playbook. The next time you go head to head with a Bad Boy or McSlut over someone you like, you don't have to lose. And no, we're not PUA's, because we don't like acronyms that sound like a noise one makes while losing their lunch or smelling something nasty. We're just two average guys tired of people blaming the game, the player, everyone except the person in the mirror for their inability to play the game.

Want to come along for the ride?
