Answers for your Teen Writing Contest questions
Question 1: How will I be paid if I win?
A: I will send you gift cards (either cash or to a restaurant/store) by mail. If you do not want to give me your home address, give me the address of someone else who you trust.
Question 2: Is this your money?
A: Yes.
Question 3: How do I submit entries?
A: Message me is the best way, with the entry inside. If it doesn't work, copy it into the comments, or paste link. I'm not responsible for lost entries, although I'll do my best to track them all down. I will confirm it when I receive it. Do not just tell me “It’s on my site!” that’s too hard to find.
Question 4: More than 1 entry?
No, unless you do the second entry using a different method. You can do one video and one audio and one written. But you cannot turn in a poem AND an essay.
Question 5: I just joined, can I enter?
Ok, I’ll stretch it to April 16th. But I’m doing this to protect you. I don’t want an adult winning the prize.
Question 6: Am I too old?
You are not too old as long as you were still 19 in 2008.
Question 7: I'm not an American, can I still enter?
Yes! I have to be honest and tell you it may be harder to get you your money if you win, depending on where you live. But don't let that stop you from entering.
Question 8: Can I use an old essay?
Yes! old essays are ok.
Question 9: I have friends lock on, how can I do this?
Best way is to add me as a friend. If you want to, I won’t even say your Xanga name if you win: I’ll just say that “Robert” won and paste your essay. That way you can keep your privacy.
Question 10: Does it have to have a happy ending?
No!
Question 11: Is there a length limit?
No! but if it's too long, it may be hard to read and you won't win

If we sent you the wrong one, how do we amend that?
@sonnigenmai - just send me a new message saying "Don't count the old one."
I sent you mine...yesterday but you haven't confirmed yet
It's here in case you need the link again- http://dylan-disast3r.xanga.com/699268442/my-entry-for-the-xanga-teen-writing-contest-/
Just a suggestion but you could also send them a gift card by internet if they win and don't want to share a mailing address with you. I know Walmart has them I am not sure who else might have them. Again I think this is a great idea.
@echois23 - ooh! tell me how, please--send me a link. I want to protect privacy as much as possible--both mine and theirs, ha.
@Dylan_Disast3r - Aha! I got it now, thanks.
@GreekPhysique - just go to the stores web site like walmart.com or sears.com or wherever the winner wants their gift card from. Look for the gift card link on the site and follow the dots. It is just like buying anything else online. The card code will be sent to the winners e-mail address and they can use it to buy what they want at that store online.
@echois23 - Oh I heard apple i-tunes has them too....
I love this idea. Can I submit an entry?
Seriously though, it's a great idea. If you hadn't covered audio I was considering doing the same thing but with singing. Maybe after yours has been done for awhile, and I have $100, I might give it a try sometime.
My only question is whether you can make me two years younger? I think I know the answer already.
BTW, thanks for befriending me. Wasn't expecting that.
I knew you were going to do this. Bravo. Glad that you're reaching out to the teenage community. Very cool.
@Tom@revelife - You should so do the singing one. That'd be awesome. Kinda like an American Idol, Xanga Edition.
@Levanna - I would ruin the judges hearing if I were to do that. It would be kind of like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhmnOpoGAPw . But only in a bad way.

I put this link in another comment on another post, but this is just in case you're not going to look there. I promise I'm not trying to spam you...just making sure. Thanks!
