  • October's Theme: Guests!

    Hi all. So I was trying to think about whether October should have a theme for my blogging, and found it. I want guest posts! I intend to spend October posting the guest posts of others on my site and also recommending to you new and interesting readers. Every fall, some Xangans do not return--they get busy with work or realize that it's time for a change. So you may find yourself low on interesting people to read. I intend to fix that.

    What topic? Here are four ideas:

    1. I want you to talk about getting back something you've lost. How can we recover our enthusiasm for life? goals? family? lost love? etc.

    2. Or, talk about finding something you've never had. Where would you travel to if you could? Who would you see? What job would you take?

    3. Create an audio, video, or photo post--I love it when people use those parts of Xanga.

    4. Take on any of my old posts, and analyze it. Tell me if you disagree. Give new information. You can see my archives here, and read my funny tags here. Pull out something that looks interesting!

    (Seriously, if you, gentle reader, are reading this and didn't see Morgie's video she made earlier this month...you missed out! VERY creative.)
    Come to think of it, Morgie, I should feature that video itself, haha--even if it's already been done, it was that good!
    @The44thHour - SHH!!! You always catch on to my schemes! It's just a coincidence I'm busy this month. :-p Fine, Santa is dead, and Roger isn't coming back from the war. Happy?! haha

    I'm in.

    After my surgery, while recuperating, I didn't feel too creative. But since I've healed, I've been getting more creative, and posting the results of that creativity on my blog. I have BOTH one of my MikeVideos and the first PhotoPost since my operation on the front page of my blog right now.

    I've been going about commenting after a long hiatus (I did return the comments left on my weekly entries, of course, but didn't go "exploring". ) In fact, I came here from the "Explore" page this morning, even though I believe you are a "friend" and show up in my inbox.

    So here's a recommend from me. (I used to say that I rarely recommend, but lately I've been recommending all the interesting posts I see. Hope my readers don't think less of me for hitting the recommend button so often these past few days.

    Great idea. Your blog will turn into another Xanga "sister site,"

    Too many bad blogs about people leaving anyway. Those of us who have been blogging here all along have to get people thinking along positive lines again.

  • Gosh, I don't think I could leave Xanga if I tried.  I already dumped my Myspace, and I'm really close to closing my Facebook page.  I'm not into networking as much as I am just writing for myself, you know?  Before this, I kept loads of diaries, so really, this is just a continuation of something I've always done, only now I get feedback, which helps me to be a better writer, one who's conscious of an audience.
