while i am quite honored at my (undeserved) nomination, i feel quite sad that i'm not your favorite real life xanga friend -- since you are the ONLY person i have met through xanga and met in person, you are (of course) mine.

That was either very brave or slightly crazy? Either way, congratulations on narrowing down the field. I don't have nearly as many friends on Xanga as you do and I could never fill out a form like that.

I think these "favorite lists" tend to be a little 'cruel' even though that is not the intent! It's better, in my opinion, just to make everyone feel that they are "special" and if we feel they are anything more than that, we can just tell them so in a Private Message. To say to someone who is feeling a bit discouraged, "Go ahead and defriend me right away . . . you're not the only one who didn't 'make the cut,'" is insensitive to say the very least!
You are one of my favorites on Xanga. But I will not name a category! I like you because you have always shown courtesy and respect for me, and yes, I do like you very much indeed - even though I didn't "make the cut."
@Grampa_David - I admit it wasn't very nice of me. I was kind of proving a point by making the list, but it didn't need to be done. Thanks for the advice, David
