  • Yes, the World is Corrupt...and so are YOU

    Some of my favorite folk on Xanga are trolls. I am not talking about trolls who are merely cruel. I love people who are willing to aggressively debate with others, and there's a side of me that loves tricking and teasing people. In fact, I have gotten in more arguments with nice people on Xanga than anyone else. That nice girl who would be the class favorite because she is pretty and kind to everyone? I hate her, haha.

    However...my troll friends, this post is for you. The problem is, you are observant and smart. You see the corruption in the world. You know that money really does make the world go round, and that love is often just seduction and lust. You can tell me story after story about how people got ripped off, and you know all the conspiracy theories and believe half of them. Worse, many of you were hurt when you were younger, and so you learned quickly that the world can be an evil place, and you need to defend yourself.

    However...I am afraid that you will destroy yourself because to battle a corrupt world, you are becoming corrupt. You are dangerously close to becoming this parody (language warning)

    Yes, some people are out to get you, but not all. And just because you cheated to get your grades in school or manipulated to get your girlfriend to like you, not everyone else is doing it. Your eyes have become evil, and the light within you is darkness. Every corrupt deed or evil act you see or do makes you more depressed and cynical, and so your deeds become more and more cynical and corrupt. To you, nothing is truly pure.

    It is sad because in some ways, you are right, and you see truth the rest of us should see. The world truly is evil. We shouldn't be so naive. Many people are out to take out anyone they can. And if you're willing to walk a step with me down Jesus Avenue, there really is a devil.
    But you must free yourself long enough to see the other reality. There is redemption. There is peace. There are people who do choose to do good to as many people as they can--flawed, naive people, but they exist. If you continue to merely see the evil in the world, it will drive you to despair. I fear that in the extreme, it will end up in murder--killing yourself inside, or for real, or taking the life of another. I would plead with you, break the cycle of seeing ever more evil and becoming more twisted yourself to cope with that evil. Concentrate on what is good, and free yourself.

  • Great post! I so have to agree, I hate trolls and that is why my Xanga blogging is limited right now, besides the fact I don't have internet I don't want to deal with it.

  • I wish I knew how to manipulate girls to get them to like me! is there a troll network I could get into and get private messaged the instructions?

  • This is a great entry, and I think it'll give everyone who reads and considers it honestly reason to pause for some self examination. Hopefully, anyway, it sure did that for me. Great entry, rec worthy to the max doooood!

  • statistically speaking, most people are honest... its just the ones that aren't have amassed alotta power....

  • I feel like I am one of those that see the world how it really is, but instead of trying to point it out and flame people I just intend to do the only thing I can to make it better: set an example.  I don't preach or bitch about the state of the world, I just show people that the world can suck but you can still truly enjoy living in it.  Anything else and you simply become a part of the problem.  Also, I can't stand people who have the same "expanded" world view, if you will, and develop a superiority complex because of it.

  • Oh man, I am very distracted by soccer right now.  When I saw (almost a month late) that you posted this I thought it said "the World Cup is Corrupt and so are you".  Then I was reading the post and got totally confused.  Finally, I read the title again at the end and realized my mistake.  Right now, "World" and "Cup" are not stand alone words and they are capitalized. 

    Anyway, I shouldn't have misread it since the post was before the World Cup started but that's how obsessive I am.
