  • Life as an Infinite Loop

Quick filler post while I prepare a vlog for you. So I was talking to a woman named Emily on gchat today, and was going to get off gchat because I needed to eat, and she needed to shower. I went to click my away messages, because I don't use gchat that often, but still didn't want to get any accidental IM's while I was gone. I then saw this (3rd one down, in green)
    New Picture
WEIRD. I racked my brain and then realized I had once had another friend named Emily, a few years ago. But this little joke of an incident made me wonder. Forget fate: are we in some ways just living the same story over and over? And is this a good or bad thing? Food for thought.

  • the Circle of Life; at least we know what to expect

  • A glitch in the matrix, maybe?

  • There's nothing new under the sun in one sense, and yet absolutely everything that happens is under God's sovereign reign for His good purposes.

    From John Piper:

And if someone should raise the question of sheer chance and the kinds of things that just seem to happen with no more meaning than the roll of the dice, Proverbs 16:33 answers: "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD." In other words, from God's perspective, there is no such thing as "chance." He has His purposes for every roll of the dice in Las Vegas and every seemingly absurd turn of events in the universe.

  • Are we living the same story over and over? Absolutely, or at least until we get it right! I kept re-reading 'cold and tired. Ugh', and could not figure out what that had to do with the post... Honestly, I'm not sure how many times I read it before 'third down' registered and I recounted...
