  • I ate at a Greek restaurant that just opened here. I was wearing my Greek soccer jersey so these Greeks called me over to get my life story, haha. Then they offered me wine that they had brought on their own. After we toasted, the one guy asked me if I was single. I thought it was awkward but I finally told him I was single. He then expansively pointed down the table where the younger guys/girls were and told me "They're all single, pick one!" Gahhhh Greeks are the best and worst, haha. I was amused and a bit embarrassed.

    Who's still reading? I feel like posting more just because, since I think this might get shut down at end of August. If you don't have any contact info for me, just ask.

  • I am! And that's funny! I don't have connections like that. I'm not proud of my heritage, who I am, or really where I came from. I feel lost in the expanse of a major city. So, did you pick one? ;-)

  • I am still reading too. I hope you DO post more. We like to read what you have to share. I thought I'd heard we had til Oct 31st, but whatever, its still sad this will be closing. I haven't chosen my next venue yet, and I lost the link to read your other site, so yes, replenishing that would be appreciated.

    I am glad you had a good time at the restaurant. I hope you at least moved a bit closer to the group to meet and chat with them,and maybe start some new friendships, even if you didn't single one lady out. If you did however, you know curious minds want to know. May you ever be happy.

    I'm a bit of a mutt in my heritage. On my father's side its more clear; his mom moved over from Germany as a teen, his dad from Scotland. My mother's family though has a bit of native American, Irish, and a bunch of other stuff I don't know. Maybe that's why I am a bit of a nomad, having lived both up north and down south, seen over half the US states, loving to travel.

  • I personally think that your brother's exaggerated version of the story was more entertaining. :o ) Now I am going to go be a creeper and read/comment on the rest of your posts. I feel a little left out that we never connected on here years ago when I was active.
